Louis has been hibernating in his stone casing longer than he cares to admit, long enough that he’s no longer known for the creature he actually is. That is until a woman’s voice entices him to shed his shell and claim her for his own.

Asha has spent several summers helping her best friends with their cleaning business, and this job would be like the rest if she weren’t drawn to the strange human-sized gargoyle in the backyard garden. When the sun sinks and the moon comes out though, she discovers there’s more to the stone figure than meets the eye, more than she can handle.

Only the magic of a solstice night can help Asha and Louis move past the traditions of their individual cultures and bring them together in a meaningful way.
